In this section of my website, I want to discuss three amazing books I have read in the past few years, starting with Ladies Who Punch "The Explosive Inside Story of "The View". This is a book I was eagerly waiting to get my hands on, as a large perecent of my free time is spent studying The View and I am a super fan of the show. I knew the author was credible and would give juicy accounts of drama that has occured backstage and in-front of the cameras for years. And the book did not disappoint. It detailed feuds between co-hosts, had never before seen images, and exposed a whole lot of crazy that has occued over the 23 years the show has been on air. This is a must read for fans of the show or anyone who indulges in pop culture/political media.
Now, let's move onto Unhinged by Omarosa Manigault-Newman or more infamously known as Omarosa. Most people knew Omarosa as a contestant on the TV show The Apprentice but I think she is now more known for working in the White House for the Trump administration. Omarosa is someone I have always kept my eyes on, she is a cunning, smart, and seems to keep herself relevant despite being loathed by people across the political spectrum. When I found out she was writing a tell-all book about her experience in the White House, I was ecstatic. And as I presumed, it did not dissapoint. The books details stories of corruption, fraud, and other dark secrets involving the Trump administration. Omarosa had me hooked from start to end.
Finally, let's talk about a very interesting and important book, Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow. In case you have been living under a rock, Farrow is the journalist responsible for bringing down convicted sexual predator Harvey Weinstein. The books follows Farrow in his journey to publish the story detailing facts about the victims of Weinstein. It's a roller coaster and delves into the lives of some very powerful and corrupt men in media, politics, and Hollywood.
